Sorry things have been a bit quiet around here I will be back in the new year with more lovely kits! Christmas Journal Pages

Just popped in to show you a couple of pages from my Christmas journal that I made using a couple of embellishments from the Merry and Bright kit.

First up, on the front cover I used my handmade felt Christmas tree.

 On the first page I used one of my merry and bright journalling spots.

Waiting for Santa

I got in the festive mood this week and created this layout using the Merry and Bright Christmas kit.

Everything is from the kit apart from the bit of patterned paper and the alphas! Including the The Make and Create shop hand made embellishments, The Make and Create shop journalling cards and mini bingo card, ribbon and twine, washi tape, sequin waste etc.

I even used the green thread and hand stitched 3 crosses every now and then.

Christmas Snowflakes

November's Kit

November's kit is called Merry and Bright and it's in the shop now!

Sorry I'm a day late I run out of time to photograph it yesterday it gets dark really quick now with the hour change! 

Anyway it's a fun and bright Christmas kit. It has lots of things that are exclusive to The Make and Create shop kits, like the mini bingo card, lots of handmade embellishments, journalling cards and  little flags

 Handmade embellishments including a handmade Christmas tree!

All this for £6.00 plus p&p.

This is the last full kit of the year as I'm going to have a bit of a break in December for festive things! There will be other things added to the shop soon though with mini kits, embellishments and things for Christmas journals!

Thank You Card

I created this card that I sent to Sj to thank her for letting me use her Little Musing in the Old Type kit. I went for a very vintage feel!

The Little Musing doily and Typewriter and The Make and Create shop 'type it' journalling spot and twine are all from the kit.

Your So Sweet

I have a gorgeous layout to share from Natalie Jane, she created this using the Old Type kit. 

She used the my hand cut bird, flowers embellishment, a punched flower and a leaf. Did you notice the great misting in the background, Natalie used one of the punched flowers as a mask?!

I love the quirky style of this and the fact that the vintage inspired embellishments from the kit fit in so well with more modern papers.

Old Type Layout

Just popped in to show you the last project from my Guest designer Christine. Here she has created a really pretty layout, how cute is her little doggy?!!

I love the way Christine has used the dictionary paper and the way she has stamped script over the journalling card, which works really well. Also a clever idea to add one of my handmade embellishments to the middle of one of the doilies!

Old Type, First Project

October's guest designer Christine created this beautiful card using the Old Type kit.

I love how Christine has used my hand cut bird, my flower embellishment, pins, butterflies, tag and thread anyone would love to receive that!

Old Type

October's kit, Old Type is now in the shop!

Sorry I'm a bit late adding it I've been enjoying the gorgeous sunshine!

It is a vintage inspired kit with old type and old typewriters!

The kits includes lots of the usual things that you won't find in other kits, like The Make and Create shop handmade embellishments and The Make and Create shop journalling spots! 

The kit this month also includes Sj's Little Musings, she kindly designed the typewriters, typewriter journalling spot and doilies for me to use in the kit and they really do look lovely in it!

I'm in love with these Little Musing Doilies too!

October's Guest Designer

October's guest designer is Christine Emberson.

Here's a bit about her:

Happy living in my Kentish Victorian terrace in the UK with my sons, too many cats and now a puppy!  I’ve always been interested in craft, from learning to knit and sew as a young child to running my own bead jewellery business.  Once I discovered paper crafting I was instantly hooked, I had discovered a way to ‘gift wrap life’ – capture special moments and beautify them with craft.  I would describe my personal style as somewhat vintage with a slightly out of control addiction to butterflies!   Flutter by my blog.

I think October's kit, Old Type will be right up her street!

New Mini Kit Embellishments

Sorry things have been a bit quiet around here I've been busy but I must try harder!!

I have added some new embellishments to the Mini Kits shop today! Here they are:

Felt and flower Circle Embellishments-Vintage 

They are the similar to the other Felt and Flower embellishments but these have a vintage feel to them.

They are only £1.50!

Now for some exciting news, next month The Make and Create shop will be joining forces with someone else, can you guess who it will be?!! I know you are in for a extra special kit from it though so watch out for a sneak peek coming soon!! 

Celebrate Layout

It's been a bit quiet in here lately sorry about that, I've been busy!!

Anyway I did find time to create a layout using the Celebrate kit.

It was also for the Studio Challenges to make a layout with a list on so I listed all the things my nephew loves on his 3rd birthday!

 I used lots from the kit: 3 different ribbons, the bunting, handmade felt circle embellishment, 2 flags, lined journalling paper, yellow spotty bow, buttons, green sequins, thread and green tissue paper, which I pleated.

Don't forget that all the past kits are still available in the shop, for example if you have photos of your children going back to school, the Back to School kit is still in the shop!

Perfect Day Mini Kit

I gave Beki Norman one of my previous guest designers the Perfect Day mini kit to create with. Here's the kit, you can find it in the Mini Kit shop.

This is the lovely wedding layout Beki created with it!

 She used one of the doilies as a mask for misting. Everything is from the kit apart from the canvas tag and letters, she even used the twine that the kit comes in to put through the top of the tag! I love how Beki has used the silver cord, looped.

I love how she has used one of the tags for the title and used some of the airmail twine on it too!

It's called Rock Chick and it's a half kit to give your creations a punky edge to them!!

Guest Designer Creation

I gave the lovely Sj Dowsett a previous guest designer, these felt and twin circle embellishments and asked her to create a layout using them.

 Here is the stunning creation she came up with!

I love how Sj has used the embellishments, they look great on the bright green background! Sj also used some of the Celebrate Embellishment Kit on this layout, she used the spotty bow and the little gems from the kit.

I had great fun making this layout using lots of scraps of paper! 

It looks lovely clustered with other embellishments.

Customer Creation - Jet Set

One of my lovely customers Sue, sent me a link to a lovely layout she made using the Jet Set kit so I thought I would show you what she did with the kit. 

I like the way Sue has taken the word strips and cut them up to use the words all over her page and the use of the all handmade embellishments for the kit on her layout. Thanks Sue for letting me show it!

 Sorry I didn't get around to adding the new items to the Mini kits shop on Monday, it's been pretty busy around here lately, anyway there are now two new packs of handmade embellishments in the shop!

First up some embellishments in manly colours, for pages about the men in your life!

And some bright ones handmade embellishments for any theme.

Kraft Mini Kit

New items in the Mini kits shop tab now!

Here's some more celebrations!

One of the new items is this little Kraft Mini kit.

 I created this layout using the little kit.

 I used one of the Kraft envelopes, one of the tags, the twine and one of the tickets.

This yellow hessian tape is from the Tropical ribbon tag thats in the Mini kit shop too!

Lisa's Creations

I really must show you July's guest designer, Lisa's great creations she made with the Jet Set embellishment kit! If you are a fan of The Make and Create shop on Facebook you may have already had a sneak preview!

Everything apart from the red letter stickers on this layout is all from the kit! How good does the red paint look?! Lisa even used the punched cardboard square from the kit to make the pattern with the paint!

Lisa just added a bit of die cut paper and red letters for this layout, the rest is all from the kit! This layout hasn't got a travel theme, the colours of the kit just so happened to match her daughters outfit for the 4th July!! It good to see the kit can be used for other themes too!

Notice the punched cardboard square that she used for the red paint on the first layout, on this layout?!

I love what Lisa did with the tag, she handstitched around it with the thread! And Lisa even made her own lovely flower using the blue ribbon from the kit. 

Thank you Lisa for your great work, I love what you did with the kit!

One Year Old!
